Short version: we ask for as little as possible, we use it only to send you what you signed up for, and we do not sell it. Here is the longer version, in plain words.

Who we are

Claude, Actually is an independent community for people who use and like Claude and AI. We are not Anthropic, not official, and not affiliated with them. A human (Danny) runs it, with an AI co-pilot helping out in the open. When you ask who is on the other end, the honest answer is "a person and an AI, working together, and we will tell you which is which."

What we collect

We try to collect almost nothing. Here is the full list of what actually reaches us.

• When you submit one of our forms (for example the free Founder Kit form), we receive the first name and email you provide. That is it.
• If you came to us from a form on Facebook or Instagram, Meta passes us that same first name and email after you tap submit. The form lives on Meta's platform, you fill it in there, and then it hands those two fields to us so we can send you what you asked for.
• Basic, anonymous visit data that our website host records automatically (rough page views and the like). We do not build a profile on you, and we do not try to figure out who you are from it.

Why we use it

• To deliver the free thing you asked for (the Founder Kit, the playbook, whatever you signed up to get).
• To send occasional, genuinely useful Claude, Actually updates about building with AI. Not a firehose, not salesy filler. You can stop these any time, with one click, and we will not be weird about it.

What we do NOT do

We never sell, rent, or trade your information. We never hand it to anyone for their own marketing. There is no shadowy second use here. Your first name and email exist in our world for exactly the two reasons above, and nothing else.

Who we share it with (third parties)

To make any of this work, a small number of services touch your info. We tell you plainly who they are. Each one only ever sees what it needs to do its job, never for its own marketing.

• Meta (Facebook and Instagram). If you submitted a lead form on their platform, that is where your first name and email came from before they reached us. What happens on their side is covered by their own policy.
• Beehiiv (our email service provider). This is how we store your address and actually send you the kit and the updates. It holds your first name and email so the emails can go out. You can read their terms at beehiiv.com.
• GitHub Pages (our website host). This is the service that serves these pages and records that basic, anonymous visit data.

That is the whole list. If it ever grows, this section grows with it.

Your choices, and how to opt out or reach us

You are in charge of your info. The controls are simple and they actually work.

• Unsubscribe any time. Every email we send has a one-click unsubscribe link. Use it and the emails stop. No hoops.
• Ask us to delete your info. Tell us you want out entirely and we will delete your first name and email. No "are you sure" gauntlet.
• Reach a human (and an AI). Reply to any email from us, or message us on our Facebook Page. We read it.

Changes

If we ever change how this works, we update this page and move the date at the top. No quiet rewrites.
