What the Founder Kit app collects, and why.
Short version: the Founder Kit app collects only the handful of things it needs to sign you in, hold your plan, and remind you of your own deadlines. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and nothing is ever sold. You can delete your account and everything in it any time. Here is the longer version, in plain words.
Who runs the app
The Founder Kit app is run by the AI Actually Foundation, a California nonprofit public benefit corporation. It is part of Claude, Actually, an independent program of the Foundation. We are not Anthropic, not official, and not affiliated with them. A human (Danny) runs it, with an AI co-pilot helping out in the open.
What the app collects
Here is the full list of what the app actually stores, and why each one is there.

| A push token | A device token from Firebase Cloud Messaging, used for one thing only: sending you your own deadline reminders (a halfway nudge and reminders three days and one day before a phase is due). We do not use it to track you, and nothing about your activity rides along with it. |
| FAQ suggestions | If you choose to submit a question or suggestion through the app's help area, the text you write is sent to our team (Danny) to review and possibly answer. You only send this if you decide to. |
| Short-lived security items | A session token that keeps you signed in, and a hashed version of the six-digit sign-in code while it is valid. These are the plumbing that keeps your account yours. The sign-in code is stored hashed, not in the clear, and expires quickly. |
What the app does NOT collect
This part matters, so we are spelling it out.
- No analytics. The app deliberately does not include a Google Analytics or any other analytics SDK. We do not measure how you tap around inside it.
- No advertising identifiers, no ad SDKs, and no third-party trackers.
- No location, no contacts, no photos, no browsing history.
- No health or financial data. (The budget number you type is just a planning input, not payment or bank information. The app takes no payments and there is nothing to buy.)
How reminders and push work
When you allow notifications, your device gets a push token from Firebase Cloud Messaging, and the app sends that token to our server so it knows where to send your reminders. We use Firebase for Cloud Messaging only, to deliver the notification, and nothing else. We do not use Google Analytics for Firebase. When it is time to send a reminder, Google and Firebase process that token purely to hand the notification to your device.
Who touches your info (third parties)
To make the app work, a few services see a specific piece of your info, only ever to do their job.
- Google and Firebase Cloud Messaging. Firebase Cloud Messaging delivers your push notifications. Google and Firebase process your push token solely to deliver the notification to your device.
- The Gmail API. Your six-digit sign-in codes are sent by email through the Gmail API. That is how the code reaches your inbox.
- Our own server. The app's data lives in a PostgreSQL database on a server we run at DigitalOcean. That is where your account, plan, and progress are stored.
That is the whole list. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or to track you across other apps or websites. None of these services get your info for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and its data for as long as your account exists, so your plan and progress are there when you come back. The short-lived security items (session tokens and hashed sign-in codes) expire on their own. When you delete your account, your data is removed from our database. See the next section.
Delete your account and data
You are in charge of your info, and getting rid of it is straightforward.
- Delete in the app. Use the Delete account option inside the app to remove your account and the data tied to it.
- Or just email us. Write to danny@claudeactually.ai and ask us to delete your account. We will delete your account and its data. No "are you sure" gauntlet.
A note on younger founders
The Founder Kit welcomes teen founders, and the app is meant for teenagers and adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from a child under 13. If a builder is a minor, we ask that a parent or guardian is in the loop and sets up or supervises the account. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, email us at danny@claudeactually.ai and we will delete it.
